 A warm welcome will await you with our outdoor covered heated patio, hot snacks, freshly baked cakes and hot drinks, together with our freshly made Real Dairy Ice Cream.

The Wilkinson family business is based at New Westage Farm on the edge of Great Budworth Village, one of the prettiest villages in Cheshire. The supreme quality real dairy ice cream is made on site in the dairy early each morning. The tearoom complements the premises where customers can enjoy a cone of ice cream in many mouth watering flavours or purchase one litre cartons to take away. It’s an ideal location for a warming winter drink or a cooling summer Ice Cream and can even include an indulgence of a home-made slice of cake.

2012 Season                                                                                                                                                                                   To keep the newly hatched rare breed chicks company our pygmy goat and baby lambs have come to join them. Very soon the animal paddock will be home to the cows that are due to calve anyday, you may be lucky to a newly born calf. 

Forthcoming events

Maize Trail - Daily from throughout August

Our maize trail has been a great hit for all ages for many years. It is amazing how even on a small scale how easily you can become lost, but don't worry help is always on hand to point you in the right direction if you need it. The trail takes about 30 minutes to find the clues hidden around the paths. You then return to the tea room to claim your free Ice Cream.  

Carriage Rides - Back again this season.

2012 Carriage Rides are taking place through out the season at regular intervals, usually Sunday afternoons and bank holiday weekends from 2.00pm onwards, weather permitting. Check here for forthcoming dates.

A ten minute ride takes you in to the centre of the pretty village, and then back to enjoy a Real Dairy Ice Cream or Hot Drink and home-baked cake. Adults £2 Children £1.50

Bostock Band - Dates to be confirmed. 

We can confirm the band will be joining us again this season. Forthcoming dates will be posted here when confirmed. The band 'strike up' from 3pm until 5pm with an interval included.

Following a successful 'Brass and Baggin' evening (brass and food to those outside Cheshire). The Bostock Band attended the opening of our Tea room in 2003. They make a few appearances each summer playing a selection of music including the aptly named Great Budworth Fanfare and Meditation, an original composition by Claire Pownall, first performed in the local St Mary's Church. Last summer they stoically continued playing during a rain storm & had to be "dried out"!
